Your farmer-florist

Hi there — I’m Caroline Smith, a regenerative flower farmer turned florist, but keep the farming in there (I just can’t stay away). After growing produce and herding sheep for several years, I finally honed in on my favorite part — the flowers. In 2023, I moved to the Central Coast of California and found my way to City Farm SLO. There, the team uplifted my love for flowers, and I crafted our inaugural Cut Flower CSA which gave me a crash-course in floral arranging for the masses.

The bounty of harvest season spilled over, and I had more than enough in the field to go around. City Farm flowers found their way to a myriad of local weddings & events.

I believe in the beauty of the Earth, and letting her magic & medicine shine through at our most sacred & poignant thresholds & gatherings. An artist at heart, I bring a professional eye to my designs, and with my farm knowledge, I am adept at crafting floral installations that are built to last (and for transport).

What I Offer

From intimate dinner parties & elopements, to medium-sized weddings & events, I adore adorning tablescapes, altars, halls, & archways with what I grow at City Farm SLO.

  • Available via Harvestly.

Available via Rooted (coming March 2026).

  • Servicing & adorning events, gatherings, & life’s transitions for my Central Coast community.

San Luis Obispo based florist and floral design — willing to travel to Santa Barbara if it’s the right fit!

  • After an event, we fetch the flowers back (unless clients wish to keep them), and prep them to land at a local nursing home, hospice facility, or elsewhere.

Somewhere that needs a ‘bright spot’ will receive the flowers while they’re still fresh & blooming.

Additionally, I glean weekly from our fields and take what is not purchased to these locations.
